The Luberon offers you the opportunity to discover many natural wonders.
The drive from Marseille to the Luberon is an hour and a half. The road is pleasant and crosses through sun-kissed Provence. Located in a lovely valley surrounded by small mountains, the Luberon region is known for its gentle weather conditions, blue sky and its rich colors.
Thanks to its mild, southern climate, Luberon has been able to preserve, over centuries, its rich cultural heritage and its unique natural setting.
It is in this region that we find the most attractive villages of Provence. Each of them will charm you with their authentic character and will entice you with their history and local artisanal products.
You will admire some exceptional views offered by picturesque, perched villages like Roussillon . The extraordinary panoramas will give you the opportunity to gaze at the charming Provençal countryside.
You will then have a stop in the small town of Gordes, one of the most magnificent places in France. Its breathtaking views along with its tiny dry-stone walled houses, which date back to the 18th century will fill you with dreamy admiration.
Next, you will visit Roussillon. This village is world famous for its ochre quarries and its impressive and colorful cliffs. The ochre-streaked earth enchants visitors every season and will take you to another world. You will have a short walk on the marked ochre paths to the top of the village to enjoy the scenery and its unique palette of colors.
You will also discover the ancient Mathieu ochre factory and Okhra, the conservatory of color and ochres where a passionate team of employees and volunteers welcomes you and organizes colorful events for your pleasure. Rousillon will delight you!
Then, we’ll visit Bonnieux with its pretty houses in harmonious colors, the Old Church and its centuries-old cedar grove which leads to the most superb panoramic view or the Vaucluse Mountains.
Finally, you will stop at a winery for a tasting and afterward for a visit to a lavender distillery.
You will have the possibility to enjoy a picnic or book a meal in a local restaurant.

Marseille

A native of Lille, I spent over 20 years in Paris before deciding to settle in Marseille, attracted by the climate and the charm of the Mediterranean. During my years in the capital, I was an actor but also an oenologist and restaurant owner, developing my passion and my skills in several renowned institutions. Since my arrival on the French Riviera, I specialized in tourism by offering tours combining wine, gastronomy and history, especially from Marseille, Aix en Provence and Cassis. I love to share my knowledge with people, being outside and exploring sites full of culture and history. I also sometimes offer mini wine courses and cooking courses in order to teach curious visitors how to combine wine and food. During my private tours, discover the culinary delights of the South of France between tapas, pastries and olive oil, as well as the most scenic places from Cassis to Arles via Les Baux de Provence.
