Curious to discover the iconic monuments of the Acropolis and the historic center of Athens, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site? This private, customizable walking tour offers you unique insights into Ancient Greece architecture and traditions as you admire the Acropolis’ astonishing collection of sculptures describing more than 2,500 years of history, from the glorious first theater of humanity at the Theater of Dionysus to the healing Temple of Asclepius and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. Discover the Temple of Athena Nike (Temple of Wingless Victory), the gateway of the Propylaea and the Porch of the Caryatids at the Erechtheion, the crowning glory of the Parthenon… while finding out more about the role played by each of these monuments within oldest civilization in the Western World. You’ll also visit the state-of-the-art Acropolis Museum designed by Bernard Tschumi, whose minimalistic architecture protects the archaeological excavations of the old city. After the Acropolis, you’ll head into the historic center to explore Monastiraki (famous for its flea market) and Plaka (labyrinthine streets and neoclassical architecture) and explore the Ancient Agora.

I’m from Athens and I studied Economics and Business Administration at Athens University. I’ve always enjoyed travelling and exploring the world. Tour guiding started out as me showing my friends around Athens, particularly the ‘secret’ side of the city that lies beyond the big attractions such as the Acropolis. I then decided to transform my hobby into a job! I’ve been a professional tour guide since 2008 and my company is my baby - we work only with qualified tour guides as part of a handpicked team. We can guide in English, French, German, Italian and Chinese. I am outgoing, social and I like adapt my tours to your personal interests to exceed your expectations. What kind of tours can you expect? Interactive tours for young people and children with games, quizzes and activities, food tours, highlights tours and plenty of hidden treasures.

“I cannot say enough positive things about our amazing tour guide!! She (Kosta’s colleague) met us this morning at our hotel in Plaka where we began the Acropolis and Acropolis museum tour. So knowledgable (and in her own words 'a nerd!') about Greece and it's fascinating history. Her obvious enthusiasm for the material and the way she related it to us was perfect. She was able to engage my husband (who is also a self described history 'nerd') yet keep my interest as well. She even engaged us in role playing to better understand. Not merely a guide but a teacher as well! 5She looked out for our every need. We felt so comfortable and highly recommend her tour to every one!” – October 2015 Lynn Wildwood “Was directed to Kostas by my son whom had previously done a walking tour one day and a food tour the next. This was our turn and we (4) had a private walking tour of Acropolis and the hidden neighboring areas. Our Guide got us up to the Sites early before the cruise ship crowds and also in and around the museum to avoid the lines. Our guide was very historically knowledged and made the tour an experience. Thanks Kostas for arranging this.” – September 2015 Bob P
