- WITH
- Carlo's TEAM | about the guide
Learn about the history and architecture of the Ancient Rome on a private walking tour led by a professional archeologist. You will explore the ruins of the Ancient Rome including the gardens of the Roman Emperor's Palaces. Avoiding the queues, you will enter directly in the Colosseum, the Forum and the Palatine hill lead by your guide who will uncover the secrets of their history. As you stroll, your guide will also provide you with additional images of the tools and techniques used to excavate important archeological sites. After the tour, if you want, you can return to the Ancient Rome to enjoy a typical roman dinner and a light show reconstructing the area, for a better understanding of what the Colosseum, the Forum and the Palatino looked like during the Antiquity.

Native of Italy, I lived, studied and travelled in the US for many years before coming back to Rome twenty years ago to start a high quality tourism and guiding company. With my team of accredited guides in Rome including several of our family members, we have a combined guiding experience of over 80 years. We know and love our city inside and out, and we are happy to share our passion for Rome and Italy with visitors. Besides English, we also speak Spanish, French, German and can make guide arrangements in all the other major languages. My goal today is to make your travel experience in Rome and Italy even more special and unforgettable. Follow us through the Colosseum, the Vatican, the Ancient Rome, the Trevi fountain and the Roman Forum. In Rome and throughout Italy, we will ensure that you are in the best and most professional hands in order to make you feel comfortable and at home in our beautiful country. PS : my tours could also be guided by another member of my team.

Emma took us (family of 5) around the Colosseum and Forum ruins and could not have been more knowledgeable (and patient). We were able to see everything we wanted to, skipped right in and made the most of our three hours. Would definitely recommend. Thanks!

We had Olga for our tour guide and she was above fantastic! Absolutely loved her! She was full of knowledge and so easy to understand!! If we return to Rome, we will definitely request her to be our guide. All of our group agreed that she was the best tour guide we had during our two week stay in Italy! Thank you again for your wonderful service, and I will definitely recommend your company to others.

"“Our expectations were surpassed beyond measure. […] this was my fourth trip to Rome. But never, until I was under [Carlo’s] guidance last weekend, had I ever felt the pulse of this most exciting and vibrant city. Every single thing was just PERFECT: from [...] the Vatican tour, to each of our wonderful lunch stops, to your wonderful and exciting history lessons overlooking the old Roman Forum from high, to the spectacular city view from the park with the booming noon cannon [...] and everything in between, it was just marvelous. [...] Be assured that you have not seen the last of us. We will return. We look forward to our next trip and to learning more and seeing more of your marvelous city.” Bob and Peggy Miller San Diego, CA Written before the UTF site launch"
