Graduating with a Masters in international business, I worked as in international sales and exports and, during my many travels, I loved discovering different cultures through their food …until one day I was swept off my feet by a Mexican lawyer would later become my husband. After living in Mexico together for several years and starting a family, we decided to move back to France. Keen to keep a connection with travelling and different cultures, I dedicated to move into tourism. And, when French gastronomy was added to the UNESCO world heritage list, I came up with the idea of getting tourists to discover France through food. To acquire a deeper knowledge in food culture, I returned to the Sorbonne for two years to study the history of food and food culture. I got this master writing my thesis on food tourism in Paris, and this is how I became officially Food geographer. In 2012, after meeting numerous french gastronomy artisans and producers, I set up my own food tour guiding agency. I’m also a food tourism consultant and give classes to Masters students. I’m a member of Association des Femmes du Tourisme, and won the 2014 prize for the most innovative concept promoting French heritage. Specialized in food Markets such as wholesale Rungis Market, I am also involved during the last 2 years in the creation of the future Cité de la gastronomie Paris Rungis.
