- Lukas | about the guide
This full day tour will whisk you off into the picturesque West Bohemian countryside to discover the spa town of Karlovy Vary, 100km west of Prague. Famous for its 12 mineral springs, the town was founded by Charles IV in 1358 and is home to the prestigious Mosser glass factory and Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Taste the water from the Vridlo ("Geyser"), a fountain of therapeutic water shooting 12 meters into the air; admire the eclectic architecture of modern and historic colonnades; find out more about how glass is made at the Moser factory; enjoy a guided stroll through the historic center; sample the delicious local wafers and traditional "Becherovka" herb liqueur. During this tour, there is a possibility to enjoy a delicious lunch in a traditional Czech restaurant in the city center. If you are interested, please ask the guide during the booking.

I was born and raised in the historical center of Prague. I love travelling and after getting hands-on experience exploring numerous countries, I decided to become a tour guide in my hometown. When I finished studying history and social communications, I started off as a tour leader in the Czech Travel agency and then become an official licensed Tour Guide of Prague and the Czech Republic in 2007. Having grown up learning about this splendid and mysterious country, I decided to transform my passion for history and art into a profession. I love being a tour guide, meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I would be delighted to show you around the Jewish quarter, tell you more about the impact of World War II and communism and help you take amazing photos of unique places.

Just to let you know that we had a very enjoyable tour. It was conducted by Michal rather than Lukas. Michal was a very gregarious and knowledgeable guide and we had a great day with him. The Moser Glassworks were fascinating and the town of Karlovy Vary was stunning. We shared a lovely lunch with Michal in a traditional Czech restaurant and benefited from his local knowledge. Would highly recommend the tour to others.
