- Marion | about the guide
In the heart of the capital, the Ier arrondissement (first district) preserves the remains of the 17th century in Paris. The era of the Sun King was a time of celebration and entertainment the stones still remember. Jean-Baptiste Poquelin Molière was then one of its most famous organizers. Throughout your walk, you will discover the history, life and career of the famous actor, from his birth in the Halles district to his death on the stage of what became the Comédie-Française through the old Palais du Petit Bourbon, Saint Eustache Church and the Cour Carrée of the Louvre. Accompanied by your guide/art historian, you will discover the places witnessing the rise of this exceptional artist, and part of the history of our heritage. During your stroll, you will also walk past the Comédie-Française, legendary cultural institution dating back to 1680, during a tour retracing the history of the theater through its art collections. You will also enjoy a drink at the Nemours, located on Place Colette, which was the favorite café of comedians of the French Comedy where they used to speak the "language of Molière".

Originally from the Loire Valley, I grew up surrounded by art, thanks to my parents, two teachers who always brought me in museums and historical monuments... After my studies in art history, I did an internship at the Chateau de Fontainebleau; which decided me to Paris to live close to museums, monuments and culture. Wishing to convey and share my passion for history and art, I decided to become a guide-lecturer. I am a true passionate and this is what characterizes me the most, I think. I am very dynamic, and visitors usually say that my visits are alive and animated. I love laughing about small historical anecdotes, talk about "little" stories to explain the "great" History. And what I like most of all in my job are the reactions, smiles, and laughs of my guests. I love to make my visits a real moment of exchange and sharing. Follow me on the footsteps of Molière and its Comédie Française, as well as in bohème stories of Montmartre.
