- Lisette | about the guide
Dive into the Belle Epoque era on this walk through time and history, orchestrated by two brilliant actress-guides transformed into two characters: You will discover the life of Yvette Guilbert, French singer and actress living in Montmartre in the early 20th century, accompanied by Sidewalk Flower, a Montmartre prostitute. The two young ladies will lead you into Paris' cabaret world, passing in front of the Moulin Rouge, the Cigalle, the former Black Cat, L'Enfer ("Hell"), the Place du Tertre, the Sacré Coeur, the Moulin de la Galette and various other iconic locations. Your stroll will be punctuated by songs from the Belle Epoque performed by Flower and Yvette such as "Le fiacre”, “Mon amant de Saint-Jean” and many more. The rest of your afternoon will take place in the cabaret La Bonne Franquette, where you will experience an introduction to the French Cancan. For the grand finale of your tour, you will have the privilege to enjoy a private French Cancan show in the Bonne Franquette cabaret. You can also enjoy dinner as well as the cabaret show at the Bonne Franquette. Please contact your guide in advance if you would like to arrange a table reservation.

After a national tour guide diploma followed by multiple tourism experiences in Europe and the US, I decided to settle in Paris to attend a theater course that made me discover my true vocation of actress and propelled me on stage between musicals, theater and cinema. After a fortunate encounter with a Montmartre movie actor, I rediscover the scenes of this small charming neighborhood. Passionate about the cinema decor of Montmartre and the songs of the pre-war, I decided to start my own tour-guiding business. After several cinema-themed tours, my first sung stroll in Montmartre was born thanks to a collaboration with the singer and actress Cyriel Tardivel. My Montmartre is the one of Jean Renoir and his "Bitch", Amelie Poulain and her arrow trail to the Sacré Coeur, Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris, Claude Lelouch, Jean-Pierre Jeunet and all these important figures of the cinema's history; but also Toulouse Lautrec, Edith Piaf, Yvette Guilbert and many other artists who lived in Montmartre during the prewar; cabarets, brothels and crazy atmosphere that reigned and still reigns in this bohemian neighborhood that looks like me. During my sung and dramatized tours, I take you in unusual locations of Montmartre, full of anecdotes and shaped by the passage of yesteryear's artists…

« Visite à faire absolument, les guides savent tout faire, elle vous guiderons en costumes d’époque, à travers le Montmartre du 20 ème siècle, en vous racontant des tas d’anecdotes sur les anciens cabarets, le tout ponctué de chansons a cappella. » Avis antérieur à la sortie du site UTF"
