- Kathy | about the guide
This tour is conducted only in Italian and French.
This visit will allow us to understand the daily life of this important center of antiquity that the eruption of Vesuvius totally destroyed in 79 AD. Even today, Pompeii manages to convey a fascinating image of society and daily life within the Roman Empire. We will discover the most emblematic monuments such as the theaters or the forum but also the essential buildings of domestic architecture such as the villas or the thermal baths. The Via dell' Abbondanza, the "commercial" artery will allow us to evoke the workshops and places of restoration and to understand how daily life was unfolded more than 2000 years ago. We will also explain what the many inscriptions that are still found today on the walls of houses represent.

With 25 years of experience in France and Italy, I often hear myself say that my words are perfectly clear, that I articulate very well (say the seniors!), that my organization is flawless and my knowledge of subject that I deal with, deepened. My dynamism, my good humor and above all my ability to adapt to my visitors are appreciated (for example, taking into account, in my comments, children and adults in the same group or even the walking pace of travelers more elderly) I had the privilege during my career to guide a few personalities including Erik Orsenna and even a French musical group who had the kindness to compose a song especially for me titled "Kathy, it's over" (in reference to " Capri, it's over" of course).
