- Fausta Adele | about the guide
Dive into the fashion world of the iconic city of Milan. Your fashion-expert guide will reveal to you all the stories and secrets of fashion and you will learn how Milan became one of the world high-fashion queens! Follow your guide in Armani Silos Museum, newly opened temple of the famous designer's 40 years of work (about 600 pieces), located in the design district Zona Tortona. During your hour in the museum, learn all about the ready-to-wear nuances and subtleties of Italian fashion: exoticism, flowered patterns, transparence of textile materials, colors etc… Continue by taking a little stroll along the banks of the Old Canal and its romantic Naviglio Grande area. Old bridges, narrow streets, romantic courtyards… you will be charmed by the picturesque landscape! On you way, look up at some of Milan's masterpieces of architecture such as the ancient Church of St. Eustorgio and the Arch of Triumph ordered by Napoleon in the 19th century and located on the XXIV Maggio Place. Then, enjoy a little break in a traditional café with a delicious Italian cappuccino. Dive right back into the fashion experience and enjoy a creative workshop in the same café, to learn in an interactive way how to distinguish the characteristics and qualities of the different textile materials using some fashion sketches. Afterwards, visit one of Milan's best fabric stores, a legendary place opened in 1976 where you will find a large choice of high-fashion textiles for women, men, children and furnitures at a wholesale price. At the end of your day, enjoy a delicious dinner in of one the best restaurants in the Milan's canals area (Milan is famous for its fresh fish, among other things…)

Born and raised in Milan, I used to work in the transportation industry for few years before deciding to live out of my real passion: tourism. I became a professional tour guide licensed in English and German, then later, French and Spanish as well. Meeting people and speak their language is one of my favorite things. Within my job I try to offer a good experience to everybody, that's why I attended another course to be able to guide also for disabled people. And because I really enjoy studying and always learning new things, I recently took a course in art restoration. Today I am a National Tourist Guide and a tour leader in Milan, Bergamo, Monza Brianza and Lake Como. I am proud of my region and I love showing its best to my guests so they can enjoy an unforgettable experience. Member of several tourism associations and organisations in Milan, I am an active ambassador of the city and its culture, especially in the classical music and fashion industry.

We really enjoyed our tour with Fausta. She is very knowledgeable about the City of Milan. She will be a good choice if you are looking for a nice combination tour that includes some of the historical things to see, along with a tour of some of the fashion places to shop. We had a good day with her and would recommend her for others. Written before the UTF site launch
