This tour combines the visit to one of Madrid's most remarkable monuments with walking in the city's old section.
The Royal Palace in Madrid is one of its most representative monuments. Built-in the 18th century, it was the residence of the Spanish Royal Family until 1931. Nowadays, it is a museum and the Spanish Government also uses it for official events. In this tour, we'll skip the line in the Palace and visit its really impressive rooms such as the Throne Room, the Gala Dining Room, the King's Apartments or the Royal Chapel. The Palace is really well preserved and looks like it used to be when it was the Royal Family residence, housing masterpieces from great artists as Goya, Tiepolo, Mengs, etc..
After visiting the Palace, we'll go for a walk in Madrid's old section, visiting its most remarkable and characteristic spots such as Oriente Square, Arenal Street, Mayor Square, St. Michael's Market, Opera Square, Mayor Street and Puerta del Sol.
Note please that the Spanish Government uses the Royal Palace for official events. Due to this circumstance, sometimes it is closed with very short notice. If this situation takes place, I will let you know as soon as possible, and I'll give you a similar option with which you agree.

Because I think it's the best way to share and promote my love and interest in our History and Heritage with visitors coming from all over the world. I've worked as an independent tour guide for more than 15 years, meeting people from all kinds of cultures, countries and backgrounds. I've also lived abroad in the US, England, and Italy to improve the languages, but all these stays have also brought me closer to their people and culture. Madrid has lots to offer to visitors. It's a place where you can experience art, history, gastronomy, shopping, nightlife… Come over and join me in one of my private tours where you'll feel like a local and discover a city that will exceed your expectations. Madrid also has amazing surroundings like Toledo, San Lorenzo del Escorial or Segovia. All of them are reachable by train, and because they're close, they are perfect for spending some time out of the city. Come with me to this fantastic UNESCO places and visit locations where time seems to have stopped. All my tours are private and customizable, so if you have any particular preference or request, just let me know.
