Visit up to 4 bars full of stories and anecdotes about the origin and development of Madrid. Meet Spanish people, enjoy Madrid´s culture and have fun¡. Taste wines are designed to complement each dish in a perfect way.

Make sure you show up hungry, the wine and tapas will be enough for dinner or lunch (around 10 different tapas). All food and drinks are included.

By the end of the evening, you will have discovered the key to wine and gastronomy and have learned many anecdotes about 17th-century Madrid.

ITINERARY

Meet your guide directly at your hotel or meeting point and start your culinary journey discovering Madrid. We’d like to invite you to enjoy the experience of “ir de tapas”, as madrileños do, no boring tourist sites, We will visit up to four bars all of them with a centenary history and full of anecdotes that will allow you to know more about Madrid and its culture. Taste wines designed to complement each dish in a perfect way. On our tapas tour, the wine and tapas will be enough for dinner or lunch (around 10 different tapas). All food and drinks included. The tour concludes in a centrally located bar that allows you to continue exploring independently. Dietary restrictions: Tapas tours can be adapted to any dietary restrictions, vegetarians, no beef, no pork, etc... Just let us know in advance. There are no special dishes prepared for allergic conditions, but for the offer of the bars and restaurants that we visit, the guide will choose the dishes and tapas that customers affected by food restrictions can eat without a problem.

Born and bred in Madrid from a family of aperitif-lovers who took him to every classic tavern in the city way before he had the age to taste wine or even reach the counter. Jaime developed a passion for wine over the years. As a journalist and food and wine lover, he always looked for different ways to bring people closer to wine, one way or another. Being a tour guide allows him today to fulfil his two main passions: wine and unleashing people into Madrid food scene! He is also a sommelier and a member of the Spanish Union of Wine Tasters. He has also collaborated in gastronomic radio programs. A little anecdote about Jaime: while photographing and writing about cultural heritage in the Department of Architecture of Madrid´s regional government, he got to know the centennial wineries in the countryside south of the city. He started up, then a wine distribution company, to bring those wines to the city taverns fighting again mainstream wines. Soon enough, he switched to bring people to drink them from their very source at the wineries or selected taverns that bet for local products. And there he is now.
