I was born and raised near Lisbon. Passionate about my country, people and customs, I chose to study tourism and hospitality. I started working as a tour guide for large groups and then moved into the hospitality industry, before going back to guiding, this time sharing the beauty and history of Portugal with small private groups. Since 2001, I have been an independent certified tour guide and driver providing customized tours based on my customers’ requirements. My favorite topics to cover are history, art history and ethnology, botany, geography, politics and architecture. During my tours, you will be taken off the beaten track to discover hidden villages, Romanesque sites and picturesque churches – the Troncalhada salt pans are a must! Why am I so passionate about guiding? Because I enjoy getting to know people from all over the world, while sharing the most unusual and beautiful corners of Europe’s magnificent western coast. Although it is a small country, there is so much to discover!
